Lauren Johan, Therapeutic Exercise Specialist
Lauren began her career in health and fitness in 2009, driven by a desire to better understand the human body, movement, and the role exercise plays in long-term health and wellbeing.
Over the past 15+ years, she has worked with a wide range of clients in both gym and private training settings, with particular experience supporting those navigating injury, chronic pain, pregnancy and postpartum, age-related changes, and other more complex physical needs. Her approach is grounded in thoughtful, individualized programming that challenges each client appropriately while prioritizing quality of movement, strength, and confidence.
Lauren brings together principles from strength and resistance training, Reformer and mat Pilates, functional movement, mobility, stability, core conditioning, and rehabilitative exercise. Rather than following a prescribed method, each program evolves around the individual—their body, history, goals, current abilities, and stage of life.
Continuing education has remained an integral part of Lauren’s work throughout her career. She has undertaken extensive study in injury rehabilitation, pain management, functional movement, women’s health, prenatal and postnatal exercise, pelvic floor health, strength and conditioning, and Pilates.
